Soft Reset

Allows many changes to be made that used to require a server side reset. A soft reset clears all caches in the Viewer making recent changes appear without the need to restart LUNA tomcat on the server. 

Reasons for Soft Reset Include the following:

Changes in the Administrator:

  • Changing the Collection order

  • IP range

  • Application Configuration

  • Changing ownership in Media groups and presentations

  • Collection Properties

  • Extended Collection Properties

 

Changes in Collection Manager:

  • OAI mappings

  • Relay button properties

 

Only users that have Super Admin can access the Soft Reset button in Administrator section.
